Insomnia

Whether or not you suffer from a sleep disorder, patients say that acupuncture improves the quality of their sleep. Studies show the average person living in the U.S. is in sleep debt an hour or more each night. Heart disease, diabetes, depression and cognitive disorders have all been linked to a lack of shut-eye.

The use of acupuncture for sleep disorders had been scientifically studied. When we treat a patient with acupuncture, they become very relaxed, even drifting off toe sleep. Because acupuncture increases serotonin levels in the brain, the sleep cycle is improved. Patients often can reduce or eliminate sleep medications.
